About Limutai Scenic Area

Known as the “Arctic of Tianjin,” it is one of the three major scenic areas of the Jiulongshan National Forest Park in Tianjin. Large stands of wild azaleas bloom in early spring, covering the hillsides in red, which is why they are called “reflecting-mountain red.” The scenic area’s typical quartzite peak-forest canyon landscape has naturally formed geological features such as Rock Art Ridge, Heavenly Crevice, Five Fingers Peak and Ten Thousand Volumes of Heavenly Books.
