About Black Dragon Pool Park

Black Dragon Pool Park lies at the foot of the Wulao Peak of Longquan Mountain on the northern outskirts of Kunming. Its name comes from the legend of Lü Dongbin subduing a wicked black dragon. The scenery is rustic and secluded, with much to admire: ancient trees, clear springs, bamboo groves, plum blossoms and deep pools. The most striking sight is the pool itself. A stone bridge divides it in two, one side clear and the other murky, and the two never mix.
