Known as a “natural ink-wash scroll,” the Wuyang River stands out for its ever-changing colours, and the patterns and hues on the strange peaks and rocks along its banks are equally varied. The scenery of the Wuyang River has five wonders: the most miraculous is “Broken Mirror Made Whole,” the most graceful is the “Triple Cascade,” the most magnificent is the “Peacock Peak,” the most perilous is the “Sky Thread,” and the most expansive is the “Reclining Buddha Ridge.” The Lower Wuyang Valley is the essence of the Wuyang River scenic area, distinguished by its strange gorges, perilous peaks and emerald waters.
