- **Getting there:** Take a Xining–Qilian shuttle bus from Xining Central Bus Station. The journey takes 5–6 hours, costs ¥80, and runs 5 times daily.
- **By car:** From Xining, take the Ningda Expressway, then the Zhangwen Expressway, then S302 to reach the scenic area. The total distance is about 280 km, a drive of roughly 3.5 hours.

## About Zhuoer Mountain

Zhuoer Mountain Scenic Area is known in Qinghai as a base for musicians collecting folk material and for photographers. Its striking Danxia landforms, winding Qilian Mountains, bright golden rapeseed fields, high forests, canyons, and grasslands form a sweeping, colorful panorama.

## Tips from the guidebook

- Viewing platform: From the viewing platform at the summit, you can see the snowy peak of Niuxin Mountain. At sunset, you may even witness the “golden mountain” glow, when the peaks are bathed in golden light.
