## About Zhangbi Ancient Fortress

'Strange deities in ancient temples, bright fortress walls and hidden tunnels that amaze' is the greatest feature of this thousand-year-old fortress.
It is believed that Zhangbi Ancient Fortress was built between the late Sui and early Tang dynasties as a military stronghold, and its shape resembles a dragon.
Within the fortress lies an extensive network of tunnels with a total length of nearly 10 kilometres. Many villages in Shanxi have tunnels, but none has been found with a layout as complex and extensive as Zhangbi's.
