## About Zangjing Hall

There is a saying: "Without visiting the Zangjing Pavilion, you have not truly seen the beauty of Nanyue." The boundless green forest, red walls with green tiles, and carved beams and painted halls and pavilions may explain the origin of the "Beauty of Zangjing Hall". "The Beauty of Zangjing Pavilion" is counted as one of the Four Wonders of Nanyue.

## Tips from the guidebook

- 1. Primeval Secondary Forest: Near Zangjing Hall is a lush, primeval secondary forest. It contains magnolia trees around seven metres tall, the mythical Money Tree and Intertwined Branch, as well as rare species such as Xiang linden, Elaeocarpus and Yunjin azalea.
- 2. Dressing Table: Nearby, a clear spring is said to have been the dressing place of a favourite consort of the last emperor of the Chen dynasty, and the remains of the dressing table still survive. About a hundred paces behind the hall stands the Guhua Residence, a multi-storey building with iron-tiled roofs and double-walled stone construction, solid yet elegant and well worth a stroll.
