## About Yunnan Provincial Museum

Founded in 1951, the Yunnan Provincial Museum is the largest comprehensive museum in Yunnan Province and one of the first national first-class museums in China. It is a hub for Yunnan's history, culture and art, a must-visit for travellers to the province, and a second classroom for young students.

## Tips from the guidebook

- Stir-fried chicken offal with ganba mushrooms: Yunnan produces a wide variety of fresh wild mushrooms, such as jizong, porcini, shiitake and ganba mushrooms. This dish may look unassuming, but its rich, fragrant flavour is unforgettable for anyone who has tried it. It is so fresh you'll want to swallow your tongue along with it.
