## About Yiwu Populus Euphratica Forest Scenic Area

The Populus euphratica, known as the 'living fossil', is a tree whose Yiwu forest is the most concentrated stand within China and one of only three major Populus euphratica forests remaining in the world. Some experts praise the Yiwu forest as the world's most distinctive in trunk shape, the oldest in age, the closest to a city, and the best-protected primeval Populus euphratica forest.
