## About Xishan

Xishan is the largest island in Lake Tai. It is home to precious tree species, including cypresses 1,200 to 1,500 years old, camphor trees more than 1,000 years old and ginkgoes 400 to 500 years old. On the island, you can admire the misty expanse of Lake Tai and sample the distinctive Taihu Sanbai (Three Whites of Lake Tai). On the eastern side of Xishan Island, Linwu Cave, reputed as the 'Ninth Cavern Heaven under Heaven', is at its most spectacular in February and March, when plum blossoms outside the cave cover the hillside like snow.
