## About Xingtian Temple

Xingtian Temple, also known as the Temple of the Venerable Lord (Enzhu Gong), is a folk temple dedicated to Guan Yu. Built in 1967 in Zhongshan District, Taipei, it is the main temple. It has two branch temples, in Beitou and Sanxia, which together with the Taipei main temple are known as the “Three Xingtian Temples.” A plaque above the main hall reads “Xingtian Gong” in large characters, and five main doors lead into a solemn, simple architectural style. On ordinary days the temple is very quiet. Only during the Welcoming-the-Gods Festival (迎神会) do pilgrims arrive from all over to worship, and many small vendors and fortune tellers set up their stalls, making it wonderfully lively.
