## About Wuta Temple (Five-Pagoda Temple)

The temple houses a Vajra Throne Pagoda with five stupas and the world's only stone carving of an astronomical chart in Mongolian script.
Five Pagoda Temple was first built during the Yongzheng reign of the Qing dynasty. Its pagodas are built entirely of glazed brick. The lower level of the pagoda bears the text of the Diamond Sutra inscribed in three scripts, and the upper level is covered with thousands of small gilded Buddhas, finely carved and exquisitely delicate.
