The sight of its waves will amaze you, stepping onto its sand will leave you feeling wonderfully relaxed, and eating its lobster will show you what “fresh from the sea” truly means. Huanqiu Wharf: Also known as Qinglan Wharf, this is Wenchang’s main fishing harbour. The wharf is home to a large seafood market, where visitors can buy all kinds of seafood just landed from the sea. Wennan Old Street: The buildings on Wennan Old Street were constructed by overseas Chinese (Nanyang returnees) who came back home, and they carry the imprints of the past. Unlike the bustling arcade streets of Haikou, it is quiet and unhurried.

## About Wenchang Confucius Temple

Wenchang people are famous for their love of learning, so it is only natural that a Confucian temple, linked to the fortunes of scholars, should be found here. Having weathered more than nine hundred years of wind and rain, the temple has been relocated and rebuilt several times and now stands in its present form.

### Quick Highlights
