## About Wanghai Temple

Built on the summit of East Terrace (东台) at 2,996 metres above sea level, Wanghai Temple is dedicated mainly to Manjushri Bodhisattva. It is one of the best places to watch the sunrise from East Terrace. When the sun rises and its rays spread, the temple is completely enveloped by clouds and mist, and the deep, resonant morning bell lends a solemn, reverent air.
