## About Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area

Tianzi Mountain is known as the 'King of Peak Forests'. Its landscape is extraordinary and thrilling, distinguished by its tall, large and numerous peaks. The mountain takes its name from Xiang Dakun, a Tujia leader who once proclaimed himself 'Son of Heaven' here.

## Tips from the guidebook

- 1. Tianzi Mountain clouds: These are very famous and most spectacular just after rain has cleared. Surging clouds take on many forms, such as waterfalls, waves, billows and drifting threads, stretching vast and majestic.
- 2. He Long Park: A park stands at the Tianzi Mountain cable car station, home to China's largest statue, a bronze statue of He Long. The park also includes buildings such as Tianzi Pavilion.
