## About Stone Moon (Shiyueliang)

At an altitude of 3,300 metres in the middle section of the Gaoligong Mountains, a huge cave penetrates a marble karst formation. The cave is over 100 metres deep, more than 40 metres wide and about 60 metres high. From 100 km away along the Nu River heading north, you can already see this cave framed by blue sky and white clouds. The people of the Nu River gave it a beautiful name: Stone Moon (Shiyueliang).
