## About Sanmenxia

The final stop on the Yellow River journey. Here the river cuts through high mountains to form three gorges. Because of their danger, they are called the 'Gate of Man', the 'Gate of Ghosts' and the 'Gate of Gods', which gave Sanmenxia (Three Gorges Gate) its name.
