## About Riverside Promenade

Riverside Promenade lies on the east bank of the Huangpu River and stretches about 2,500 metres. Along the way you'll find musical fountains, open-air riverside cafés and waterside platforms, making it one of Shanghai's best-known sights. Compared with the crowds on the Bund, Riverside Promenade feels calmer. From here you can look across the river at the historic buildings of the Bund and the views of Puxi, which have their own special appeal.

## Tips from the guidebook

- During typhoon season each summer, the section of Riverside Promenade near Dongchang Road is especially prone to flooding, and the riverside side of the path may become impassable.
