## About Red House Theater, Ximending

The Red House in Ximending is an important memory for many long-time Taipei residents. It has witnessed the district's development, from its early years to its heyday as a hub of film and theatre, and on to its present multi-style era, tracing the full arc of the Ximen commercial district's prosperity and decline. Today it is a new creative and cultural centre. Besides performances, it houses many cultural and creative shops, the Red River Bank Message Exhibition Hall, Moonlight Cinema and a range of small cafés, making it a haven for culture lovers.
