## About Pingle Ancient Town

A nationally designated Famous Historical and Cultural Town. Founded during the reign of Emperor Jing of the Han dynasty, it was a crossroads for the Qin-Han postal road and the Southern Silk Road. Lezhan Street (乐善街) is the town's famous waterside street, and at its far end stands Lezhan Bridge (乐善桥), known as 'Qionglai's No. 1 Bridge.' Built in 1862, this seven-arched stone bridge has peach-shaped arch openings, a rare design, and is considered unrivalled in western Sichuan.
