## About Pingjiang Historic District

Pingjiang Road is a historic water lane in Suzhou, running north from the Humble Administrator's Garden and facing the Twin Pagodas to the south. It preserves the classic layout of “water and road running side by side, rivers and streets adjacent,” making it the best-preserved old street in Suzhou. Along the road stand traditional houses with white walls and grey tiles, exuding a serene, rustic everyday atmosphere. Sitting in a riverside teahouse, you can enjoy fragrant tea and the melodies of the guqin, an easy and leisurely pace of life. Local snacks such as osmanthus cake, fermented rice wine dumplings and begonia cake carry a distinctly Jiangnan flavor.
