- **Getting there:** Take a bus from Shiyangchang to Qingjing (fare ¥62 per person). After getting off, buy a short-distance shuttle ticket or charter a vehicle to Sanhe Township (三合乡).
- **By car:** Take the Beijing–Kunming Expressway → Yaye Expressway. Exit at the Luding toll station and continue on the Hu–Nie Road (沪聂线). The total distance is about 250 km, a drive of roughly 3.5 hours.

## About Niubei Mountain

In May 2022, the Niubei Mountain scenic area, after several years of closed development, officially opened to the public. High ticket prices have caused visitor complaints, but the mountain's magnificent scenery still draws crowds. The summit offers wide-open views and is hailed as 'China's largest viewing platform,' making it an excellent spot for photography. The Niubei sea of clouds can be surging and majestic, ethereal and gentle, dazzlingly colourful, or dense and striking. Locals say: 'Once you've seen the clouds at Niubei, no other clouds will impress you.'
