## About Mudu Ancient Town

Known as 'the First Town of Wuzhong'. Its old streets crisscross the town, and gardens are everywhere. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the town had more than 20 private gardens, and several classical gardens survive today, including Yan Family Garden, Bangyan Residence, Hongyin Mountain House and Gusong Garden. The town's history can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn period of the Wu and Yue kingdoms. The Xiang Creek and the Xu River meet in the town in a 'Y' shape, and the houses lining the waterways form ribbons along the banks, creating a distinctive townscape.
