## About Luoping Rapeseed Flower Sea

Among the world's flowers, the humble rapeseed blossom makes Luoping a true wonder. Here the rapeseed fields cover nearly 800,000 mu, far more than a few scattered patches. When in full bloom, the flowers spread across hills, villages, roads and rivers alike, merging into a sea of yellow that is truly spectacular.

## Tips from the guidebook

- 1. Best season: The Luoping Rapeseed Flower Festival usually begins around February 21, and the rapeseed typically blooms soon after the Spring Festival. Keep an eye on bloom timing: an early warm spell brings earlier flowers, while a late warm-up delays the bloom.
- 2. Best spots to view the flowers: The route to Duoyi River Scenic Village (多伊河风景村) has dramatic terrain and rich layers, making it great for photos. Niujie Township (牛街乡) to the north of the city has terraced fields, offering a different kind of charm.
