## About Kuanzhai Alley

'Kuanzhai Alley is the most Chengdu of all places.' The revitalized Kuanzhai Alley has become the best ambassador of Chengdu's leisurely lifestyle, with an air reminiscent of Shanghai's Xintiandi.
The old Kuanzhai Alley is the last surviving remnant of Chengdu's traditional urban layout. Today, the buildings on either side house modern, elegant restaurants, bars and teahouses, and prices have risen accordingly. However, do not rush through here. Sitting at an open-air restaurant, sipping tea, ordering some local snacks and gazing at the grey-tiled, white-walled West Sichuan houses is a surprisingly calming experience.
Kuanzhai Alley truly belongs to the evening, when people from all walks of life enjoy unhurried lives. Spending a night in the old lanes is a wonderful way to experience the distinctive slow-paced charm of Chengdu.
