## About Kangding

At an altitude of 2,560 m, Kangding is the seat of the Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It is a multi-ethnic area, predominantly Tibetan.
Before visiting, you may think of the love song that goes “On the mountain where the horses gallop, a wisp of cloud drifts by.” Once you arrive, however, you may find that many other things make you forget the song that made the town famous.
