- **Getting there:** Take a bus to Heishui County from Chadianzi Passenger Transport Centre in Chengdu, then hire a car from the county town to Kalong Valley. Local people rent horses inside the valley for ¥50 each.
- **By car:** Heading from Chengdu toward Heishui County, you will reach a fork 15 km before Heishui County town. Turn onto the branch road heading northwest to Reli. In Reli, turn north onto the road leading to Kalong Valley.

## About Kalonggou Scenic Area

Kalong Valley is a karst landscape, where stalactites come in dazzling colours. It has over a hundred colourful pools of varying sizes, dramatic waterfalls with steep drops, and autumn mountain forests painted in brilliant hues. Its scenery rivals and, in many ways, even surpasses that of Jiuzhaigou. Every October, the “Glacier and Autumn Forest Festival” is held here.
