## About Jizushan Scenic Area

A famous Buddhist pilgrimage site, said to be the Dharma field of Venerable Kashyapa, the foremost disciple of Shakyamuni Buddha. The Eight Scenes of Jizushan are: Cangshan's Accumulated Snow, Erhai's Mist, Waterfalls Piercing the Clouds, Clear Thunder at Huashou, Autumn Moon at the Pagoda Courtyard, Buddha's Light on the Heavenly Pillar, Pine Waves across the Ravines, and Reflected Glow on Layered Cliffs. From the 1st to the 15th day of the first lunar month is the Jizushan Pilgrimage Festival, when a steady stream of pilgrims makes the mountain lively.
