## About Jimei School Village

Jimei School Village was founded under the personal guidance of Mr Tan Kah Kee (陈嘉庚). Its architecture blends Chinese and Western styles and reflects the typical architecture of the Minnan overseas Chinese hometowns. In particular, the Daonan Building of Jimei High School, the Nanxun Building of Jimei Overseas Chinese School and the teaching building of Jimei Navigation College, some soaring majestically and others seemingly poised to take flight, are full of individuality.

## Tips from the guidebook

- Ao Garden (鳌园): a short walk from the back of Jimei School Village leads to Ao Garden, where you can visit the Tan Kah Kee Memorial Hall, the Tan Kah Kee Memorial Site, the Jimei Liberation Monument and more.
