## About Hengchun Ancient Town

Hengchun Ancient Town became well known through the film *Cape No. 7*.
The town was named "Hengchun" ("Eternal Spring") because of its mild climate, which stays warm and springlike throughout the year. Construction of Hengchun Ancient Town began in 1875. It is one of the most completely preserved ancient towns in Taiwan, and it still has four city gates: east, south, west and north.

## Tips from the guidebook

- Homestay: Remember Aga's house from the film? The old residence has been converted into the "Aga's House" homestay, and every room retains the film's original sets. Here you can buy a freshly branded wooden postcard, stamp it with three to five special seals, and drop it into a green Japanese-style postbox to send to someone far away.
