## About FAST Science Education Base (China Sky Eye)

China's Sky Eye is the world's largest single-dish radio telescope. Built within a natural, round lava sinkhole, it forms a striking blend of the natural and the man-made. There are two viewing platforms, No. 1 and No. 2, from which you can look down closely on the full view of China's Sky Eye.

## Tips from the guidebook

- 1. Entry to the viewing platforms is free, but you must take a shuttle bus to get there. If you only want to visit the lookout, a shuttle bus ticket is sufficient. Visitors who want to see the astronomy experience section should buy the combo ticket.
- 2. Mobile phones, digital cameras and other electronic devices are not allowed during your visit, so as not to interfere with the telescope's operation. You can also ask staff at the viewing platform to take a photo of you with the Sky Eye; photos cost ¥25 each.
