## About Diaoshuilou Waterfall

The point where Jingpo Lake flows out into the Mudan River, and the largest waterfall in Heilongjiang Province. The enormous force of the falling water has carved a pool at its base nearly 70 metres across and over 60 metres deep. In the depths of winter, the waterfall freezes into a curtain of ice hanging from the cliff, a truly spectacular sight.

## Tips from the guidebook

- Best season: June to September each year. The water level is at its highest all year, so Diaoshuilou Waterfall is at its most spectacular. With little wind, the lake stays as calm as a mirror, showing the distinctive 'Jingpo' (mirror lake) character most clearly.
