## About Dazhao Temple (Wuliang Temple, Ike Zhao)

The temple holds a woodblock-printed Buddhist scripture collection said to be more than 600 years old.
In Mongolian, Dazhao is called 'Ike Zhao,' meaning 'Great Temple.' Built in the Ming dynasty, it is the largest Gelug temple in Hohhot and one of the few temples in Inner Mongolia without a living Buddha. Its architecture blends Han, Tibetan and Mongolian styles, and its statues and murals are exceptionally beautiful.
