## About Daozhan Village

Daozhan Village is one of Luoyang's internet-famous villages. Backed by Wan'an Mountain to the south and looking toward the Yi River to the north, it is a wonderful place to experience the rustic folk customs of the Hé-Luò region and to enjoy leisurely wellness activities.

## Tips from the guidebook

- The best time to see the flowers is roughly March 25 to April 15. Most blooms are fenced off, so you cannot get very deep into the flower beds for photos. The park has shops that rent Hanfu costumes, so you need not worry about photo outfits.
- Laojun Mountain Scenic Area was the hermitage of Li Er (Laozi), founder of Daoism, which made it a famous Daoist holy site in the Central Plains. At 2,192 metres above sea level, it is the highest peak of the 800-li Funiu Mountains.

### One-Line Recommendation

Luoyang Museum: Located on the north side of the Botanical Garden at the Sui-Tang City Ruins, the museum's collection rivals that of many provincial-level major museums in both quantity and quality. Come here to get a full sense of Luoyang's long history and culture as an ancient capital.
