## About Daluo

Daluo is a small town on the southern border in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna. Here you can experience traditional crafts such as sugar making, liquor brewing, papermaking and pottery, and visit the Daluo border crossing to experience exotic border culture. The Daluo border area has a border trade tourism zone where you can buy local specialties, or pass through the crossing to take a look at neighbouring Myanmar.
The area is also home to a remarkable sight known as the 'Single Tree Forest.' It is formed by a banyan tree nearly a thousand years old: a single large tree has countless trunks, and its branches drop many aerial roots, forming a 'forest' of trees that is truly spectacular.

## Tips from the guidebook

- Outbound tours: Outbound tours to Myanmar from Daluo are currently closed, and the local area no longer processes outbound tour applications for ordinary tourists. However, if you hold a valid passport and visa, you may exit through the Daluo crossing.
