## About Crown Cave

Crown Cave lies on the east bank of the Li River in Caoping Township. It is a giant underground river cave. The hill above it resembles an ancient purple-gold crown, and the cave beneath gave the site its name. The water cave has been closed off for many years, so its scenery is well preserved. Inside, a remarkable variety of formations, including stalactites, stalagmites, columns, curtains, cloud basins, rim dams, goose-neck tubes, cave pearls, fallen rocks and sky-pots, show off their distinctive beauty.

## Tips from the guidebook

- Ways to explore: Crown Cave is equipped with a tram, boats and sightseeing lifts. Its range of ways to tour the cave has earned it a Guinness World Record as the cave with the most touring methods in the world, and its electric sightseeing slide has been recognised as the longest tourist slide in the world.
