## About Choi Hung Estate

Choi Hung Estate is one of Hong Kong's earliest public housing estates, located in Kowloon. Beside Choi Hung MTR Station, the estate lives up to its name: its exterior walls are brightly coloured and neatly arranged, like a rainbow. Thanks to its distinctive design, it won a Hong Kong architectural award, the Silver Medal of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects in 1965. Together with its lively basketball courts and the everyday atmosphere of its residents, it makes a striking scene. In recent years, Choi Hung Estate has become a popular photo spot for many young people.

## Tips from the guidebook

- Please avoid excessive photo-taking or boisterous behaviour that disrupts the daily lives of local residents.
