## About Beijiushui

To visit Laoshan, start at Beijiushui. Here the water is clear, the trees are green, the rocks are beautiful and the mountains are graceful. It is best visited in the rainy season, when water flow in the scenic area is abundant and the air feels refreshingly pleasant.

## Tips from the guidebook

- Essentials for hiking: If you plan to climb Yuema Peak or see the Lion-Body Human-Face Rock, be sure to bring a hiking pole (especially useful on the downhill stretches of the sandy gravel road), gloves (to protect against thorns), hiking shoes, and glasses (to protect your eyes from thorns). Most paths are gravel, so the descent can be somewhat dangerous.
