## About A-Ma Temple

A-Ma Temple, also known as Tin Hau Temple, is the symbol of Macau's Mazu culture and the oldest of Macau's three major Chan monasteries. Every year during the Spring Festival and on the 23rd day of the third lunar month, the temple's incense burns at its most vigorous. From midnight on New Year's Eve, many devout worshippers come to pray for blessings.

## Tips from the guidebook

- Not far to the left of A-Ma Temple is the Macau Maritime Museum, which is well worth a visit.
