## About ★

No trip to Dalian is complete without a visit to Laohutan Park, the landmark attraction for experiencing the city's holiday atmosphere. The park's Polar Ocean Pavilion is the highlight of the visit. It is much like other polar and ocean aquariums, and you may already have seen the penguins and polar bears elsewhere, so focus your attention on the shows instead. Getting up close to these rare polar and marine animals is something most people experience only once or twice in a lifetime, and it is the best way to truly enjoy the joy of the ocean.

## Tips from the guidebook

- 1. Polar Pavilion only: We recommend the ¥120 combo ticket (covering the Polar Animal House plus either the Joy Theatre or the Sea Mammal Hall). Other sights in the park, such as the Coral Hall and the Bird Forest, can be skipped if you are short on time.
- 2. Show schedule changes: Show times within the park may change. For any adjustments or additional performances, refer to the notice boards at each venue. In strong winds, fog or rain, the “Peacocks Fly Southeast” show, the water-skiing show and outdoor performances will be cancelled.
- 3. During Children's Day (June 1): The park offers special discounts and activities for children and parents, so check the website for details.
- 4. Tickets are valid on the day of purchase only: Once purchased, you must enter the park within 10 minutes of printing your ticket, or it becomes invalid.
